The Nippon Active Value Fund invests in small, “sleepy” Japanese companies who are cash rich. The aim is to encourage companies to release cash via dividends and share buybacks, improving shareholder returns. The update follows the amalgamation of abrdn Japan Investment Trust & Atlantis Japan Growth Fund, acquired last summer.
