Windward sees growing demand for AI shipping platform
In today’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), Windward reported that demand for its AI-powered predictive intelligence platform has continued to grow in 2023, resulting in top-line growth. The careful management of costs is expected to reduce the time taken to reach profitability. In the first quarter of the year, the effect of cost control measures implemented in late 2022 was already evident.
Windward operates in a complex sector, where factors such as sanctions compliance, supply chains, commercial pressures, and the growing decarbonization agenda influence the actions of businesses and governments. These factors are driving demand for the company’s platform, which now boasts over 150 customers across the Government and Commercial sectors, up from 132 at the start of the year.
The company has won new contracts with NW corporation, Scorpio Group, Nathalin Shipping, Transform Technologies DWC LLC, Eldan Cargo, New Wave International Cargo, and ISLINE Ltd. Additionally, Windward has continued to widen its market reach through partnerships with Israel Aerospace Industries, EY Israel, Xeneta, and Chain.io.
Windward’s platform continues to innovate, with increased accuracy of ETA prediction models and new levels of milestone visibility in its supply chain solution. The company is now recognized as a challenger to traditional data providers in the maritime industry.
